Associated Branch Pilots Choose Raven Industries Marine Navigation

SIOUX FALLS, S.D., April 30, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Raven Aerostar
(Nasdaq:RAVN) is pleased to announce that the Associated Branch Pilots of the
Port of New Orleans (Bar Pilots) has selected the Raven Traffic Management
System to provide increased situational intelligence for Port of New Orleans
ship pilots. Raven Aerostar's marine navigation aid systems are used by ship
pilots in over a dozen ports in the U.S. The Bar Pilots recently ordered 35
Raven Traffic Management Systems, including the company's latest rate of turn
sensor, Revolve.

Revolve is a marine navigation aid developed by Raven Aerostar to enhance
safety by enabling local ship pilots to better predict the future position of
vessels as they maneuver waterways and ship traffic safely to dock.

"This is our second purchase from Raven Aerostar," explained Capt. Mike
Lorino, president of the Associated Branch Pilots of the Port of New Orleans.
"We chose Raven not only for Revolve, an outstanding product, but also for the
exceptional service and support their team provides."

"Revolve is an impressive technology that integrates a traditional automatic
identification system with a robust, reliable rate of turn sensor," said Lon
Stroschein, Raven Aerostar vice president and general manager. "Revolve is a
lightweight, compact unit where size and weight of a portable pilot unit are
critical. Assisting ship pilots in navigating in and out of port, Revolve
supports Raven Aerostar's great challenge of saving lives by enhancing safety
of ship pilots and crew members."
