OBJE to Offer Developers Marketing Tools to Succeed in $9 Billion Gaming App
SARASOTA, Fla. -- April 29, 2013
With industry tracker 148Apps.biz reporting that 138 gaming apps are submitted
to the Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) App Store every day, OBJ Enterprises (OTCBB: OBJE)
is working to build a new platform to give developers the exposure they need
to stand out in a highly competitive marketplace.
Last week, the company announced that its plan to develop an innovative new
crowdsourcing platform to help independent game makers build, publish and
market the next wave of fun and exciting mobile apps for a growing market of
more than 500 million gamers worldwide. Reaching those gamers is no easy task,
which is why OBJE plans to offer developers a suite of effective marketing
tools many times more affordable than spending 30-50 percent of their revenue
“Customer outreach is crucial to success in the mobile gaming space,” said
OBJE CEO Paul Watson. “We’re designing a platform that will allow developers
to kick-start viral marketing campaigns for their games using social networks
compiled by Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, forums and others to actively engage
with users effortlessly and affordably. The goal is drive quality
word-of-mouth referrals, not simply promote their products with costly
OBJE is already hard at work accomplishing that goal. The company’s gaming
subsidiary, Obscene Interactive, recently signed a letter of intent and is now
moving towards a funding arrangement to help market and developBluff Wars, a
hysterical social game created by Texas-based indie developersFangTooth
Studios. OBJE also recently submittedPhantasmic—the first game developed
through its joint venture brand Novalon Games—to the App Store, with an
Android version of the app set to follow.
Obscene Interactive is a division of OBJ Enterprises, Inc. that is working to
develop innovative gaming products for the Apple App Store and Google (NASDAQ:
