Brookfield Mortgage Opportunity Income Fund Inc. Announces First Distribution 
and Upcoming Conference Call 
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- (Marketwired) -- 04/29/13 -- Brookfield
Mortgage Opportunity Income Fund Inc. (NYSE:BOI) (the "Fund") today
announced that its Board of Directors declared a monthly dividend of
$0.1271 per share, payable on May 31, 2013 to stockholders of record
on May 16, 2013. The ex-dividend date is May 14, 2013. Based on the
initial public offering price of $20.00, the Fund's annualized
dividend yield was 7.626%.  
Brookfield Investment Management Inc. will host a conference call for
the Fund on May 14, 2013 at 4:15pm EST. The Fund's portfolio
management team will provide an overview of market conditions and an
update on the securitized products industry, along with a review of
the Fund's investment strategy. The conference call will be available
