at 24th Annual Manny Awards
IPG Healthcare Remains Most Awarded Network
New York, NY - April 29, 2013 - Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) today announced
that following this years' Med Ad News Manny Awards ceremony, it remains the
most awarded holding company by the publication over the past decade. This
year, IPG's healthcare networks, including Draftfcb Healthcare, McCann Health
and ICC Lowe received an impressive thirteen nominations-more than any other
holding company in the healthcare sector. Michael Roth, CEO of the Interpublic
Group noted, "This sustained recognition speaks volumes about the depth,
strength and creative inspiration consistently demonstrated by IPG's
Draftfcb Healthcare took home a total of three awards, including Most Creative
Agency honor for the fourth consecutive year. The two additional awards for
Draftfcb were: Best Nonbranded Campaign on behalf of Teva for "Get Your Shift
Together," and the Best Philanthropic Campaign on behalf of the Crohn's &
Colitis Foundation of America.
McCann Health was recognized in a number of categories. Two of the more
prestigious nominations include McCann Torre Lazur for Agency of the Year
Category II and McCann Echo Torre Lazur for Most Admired Agency. McCann Torre
Lazur was also a finalist for Best Nonbranded Campaign.
ICC Lowe, who came into the evening as Med Ad News' 2012 Agency of the Year
(Category I), received four nominations. The agency won this year's Best
Interactive Physician Campaign with flea treatment Activyl for the "Itch
Switch" campaign on behalf of MSD Animal Health. ICC Lowe Pace, along with
client Vertex, was nominated for Brand Team of the Year, and ICC Lowe Trio was
a Finalist for Agency of the Year (Category III). ICC Lowe also served as an
event sponsor for the annual industry gala, held at Pier Sixty in New York.
