To create its 2013 list, Ethisphere received "World's Most Ethical"
nominations from companies in more than 100 countries and 36 industries. To
determine the most ethical, the Institute conducted in-depth research and a
multi-step analysis, which included thorough reviews of codes of ethics,
litigation and regulatory infraction histories, investments in innovation and
sustainable business practices, corporate citizenship and corporate social
responsibility programs, and research on company leadership, workforces,
clients and customers.
