LOS ANGELES, April 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern California McDonald's®
restaurants are flipping the monotonous morning routine with the introduction
of the wholesome Egg White Delight McMuffin. At 250 calories, the new
breakfast offering features 100% freshly-cracked egg whites, white cheddar
cheese and extra lean Canadian bacon, sandwiched between a new English muffin
which packs eight grams of whole grain.
"The Egg McMuffin has become a staple and an iconic offering at McDonald's
since its introduction 40 years ago," said Michael Mangione, Jr., McDonald's

Southern California (MOASC). "The new Egg White Delight McMuffin offers the
same great savory flavor while honoring McDonald's initiative to evolve the
menu with relevant tastes and food choices."

the USDA's MyPlate recommended food groups and supports McDonald's
"Commitments to Offer Improved Nutrition Choices," announced in 2011. It is
McDonald's newest breakfast choice under 300 calories in addition to the Egg
McMuffin, Fruit & Maple Oatmeal and Fruit N' Yogurt Parfait.
