Truesense Imaging Mobilizes Workforce with NCP engineering’s Centrally
Managed Remote Access VPN Solution
NCP Secure Enterprise Solution Enables Employees to Easily and Safely Connect
to the Corporate Network from Windows XP, Windows 7 and Mac OS X Laptops
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- April 23, 2013
NCP engineering today announced that Truesense Imaging has deployed the NCP
Secure Enterprise Solution to ensure secure remote access for employees
working from home or on the road. Truesense adopted NCP’s enterprise IPsec VPN
clients and fully automated VPN management system, because the technology made
remote access cost-effective and simple for the company’s mobile workforce as
well as the IT department.
Truesense has equipped 125 members of its technical and sales teams with the
NCP Secure Enterprise Clients on corporate-owned Windows XP, Windows 7 and Mac
OS X laptops. The VPN client technology offers them a direct, secure tunnel
from any Internet access point into the corporate network, with just a few
clicks and without having to worry about firewall settings, device
compatibility, connection negotiation or policy requirements.
The NCP Secure Enterprise Clients seamlessly integrate with Truesense’s
existing Juniper Networks’ VPN gateway, supplied by Sprint. By supporting the
latest versions of Windows and Mac platforms, NCP’s VPN clients will also
maximize Truesense’s remote access investments when the company looks to
upgrade from older operating systems.
With the NCP Secure Enterprise Management (SEM) system, Truesense’s IT
department can easily administer and set up the VPN client licenses, centrally
roll out software, configuration and certificate updates, and monitor and
support employees’ remote network access—all from a single console. The
software streamlines the tasks of Truesense’s IT staff to a few clicks, while
providing them with advanced, holistic visibility of the entire VPN network.
*The NCP Secure Enterprise Solution, which is comprised of the NCP Secure
Enterprise Client, the NCP Secure Enterprise VPN Server and the NCP SEM
system, is designed specifically for companies with 50+ VPN users and
large, complex remote access environments. The centrally managed, 100%
software solution enables complete policy freedom, unlimited scaling,
multiple VPN-system setup and control, and total end-to-end security.
*The NCP Secure Enterprise Client bundles a dynamic personal firewall, an
Internet dialer/connector and an intuitive graphical user interface. The
IPsec VPN client software also includes support of mobile connect cards,
one-time password token and certificate support through a public key
infrastructure (PKI), and seamless roaming across all network connections
(Wi-Fi, LAN, 3G/4G/LTE).
*The NCP SEM streamlines the administration of enterprises’ entire IPsec
and SSL VPN networks, in addition to providing full network access control
(NAC) management. It enables powerful Two-Factor Authentication with a
One-Time Password that users receive via SMS, and allows administrators to
provision and configure remote access capabilities to help prevent
“bandwidth hogging” and wireless data consumption fees.
*“Our sales teams and technicians have been increasingly on-the-go to meet
global customer demand for product development excellence and world-class
quality service. We knew we needed a remote access VPN solution to sustain
employee productivity, while ensuring security and cost-efficiency,” said
Jim Sousa, infrastructure administrator, Truesense Imaging. “At the
recommendation of our parent company, Platinum Equity, we looked into
NCP’s VPN software and determined it to be a high quality solution that
was easy to use and capable of fulfilling all of our needs.”
*“As workplaces around the globe shift toward mobile models, enterprises
and their IT departments are expected to provide employees with the
mechanisms that will uphold business output,” said Patrick Oliver Graf,
general manager, NCP engineering. “At NCP, we are committed to equipping
our customers, like Truesense, with best-of-breed remote access VPN
solutions that will enable their employees to work flexibly while
travelling, ensure proper security and still yield demonstrable results.”
