Childhood Obesity Crisis 
The Grassroots Garden Gala Took Place at Gotham Hall in New York City
on April 17 
SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 04/22/13 --  Vemma Nutrition
Company demonstrated its continued support of the HealthCorps mission
to address the childhood obesity crisis by sponsoring and attending
the nonprofit's annual fundraising gala event. Vemma Founder and CEO
BK Boreyko, Co-Founder Karen Boreyko and Vice President of Marketing
and Brand Development, Mark Patterson attended the gala.  
Hosted at Gotham Hall in New York City, the Grassroots Garden Gala
honored leaders in their fields who are making significant
contributions to the health and well being of American youth.  
Dr. Mehmet Oz, HealthCorps Chairman, renowned heart surgeon and
two-time Daytime Emmy Award-winning host of two-time Daytime Emmy
Award-winning "The Dr. Oz Show," and his wife Lisa Oz co-hosted the
Gala, which also celebrated the work of Harold Hamm, CEO of
Continental Resources and founder of the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center
as well as Marlo Thomas, actress, producer and social activist. 
Grassroots Garden Gala guests were also treated to special live
musical performances by Grammy-winning Hip Hop artists Naughty by
Nature, and Jermaine Paul (winner of The Voice Season 2) who also
recently performed at Vemma Revolution Convention at the Mirage in
Las Vegas earlier this month.
