Cintas Corporation and Anthony Melchiorri Announce $25,000 Hotel Makeover
Hoteliers invited to improve image, cleanliness and guest satisfaction by
entering for a chance to win products and services from Cintas
CHICAGO -- April 18, 2013
Spring cleaning just took on new meaning for the hotel industry, thanks to the
$25,000 contest offered by Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) and Anthony
Melchiorri, host of a reality TV show that helps turn around struggling
hotels. From now until August 31, hotels of all sizes can enter for a chance
to win an onsite visit from Melchiorri and $25,000 worth of products and
services from Cintas. The winner will also receive a trip to the International
Hotel/Motel + Restaurant Show, held in N.Y. in November 2013, where they can
speak with the media about how the makeover impacted their hotel.
“I often tell hotels that there are four keys to guest satisfaction: image,
cleanliness, safety and security,” said Anthony Melchiorri. “By making a few
proactive, practical improvements in each of these areas, hoteliers can
significantly impact the guest experience and the bottom line. Through this
contest, Cintas will help one lucky property take their guest satisfaction to
a whole new level.”
According to J.D. Power and Associates’ 2012 Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index,
overall guest satisfaction within the hospitality industry is at an all-time
low—down seven index points from 2011. Despite this, a recent study from March
found that 42 percent of U.S. travelers are planning to increase their
spending in 2013, making it a great opportunity for hoteliers to improve their
operations for increased customer satisfaction and loyalty.
“As demand rises, now is a great time for hoteliers to elevate the guest
experience and gain an edge on the competition,” said Todd McKeown, Vice
President, Global Hospitality and Gaming, Cintas. “By partnering with Anthony
and hosting this contest, we hope to inspire hotels to make image,
cleanliness, safety and security a priority, and we’re proud to help
demonstrate the impact of these initiatives by offering the winner $25,000
worth of products and services.”
The leader in specialized services to the hospitality industry, Cintas has
more than 40 years of history partnering with hotels to support
brand-building, efficient operations and enrichment of the guest experience.
Some of the company’s solutions for hotels include tile and carpet cleaning,
HVAC cleaning, uniform supply and rental, towel, mat and mop services, fire
protection services and first aid and safety supply and services. By taking
steps to elevate their image, improve cleanliness and increase guest safety
and security, hoteliers can secure a greater number of positive online and
offline reviews and attract increased customer loyalty.
In November, Cintas partnered with Melchiorri, a hotel industry expert with
more than 20 years of experience, to help reiterate both parties’ messaging
around increased operational efficiency, cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
To enter the contest, hoteliers are encouraged to fill out the submission form
and describe how they would use the $25,000 at www.cintas.com/anthonycontest.
A winner will be selected by September 9, and the makeover will be unveiled at
the 2013 International Hotel/Motel + Restaurant Show.
