DHL Makes TRADESHIFT Its Preferred Global Platform

DHL Makes TRADESHIFT Its Preferred Global Platform
Organization Manages Over 25M Billings and Invoices
SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/17/13 -- DP DHL has
selected TRADESHIFT's platform for business interactions as its
preferred solution for working with suppliers. The first phase of the
project will see DHL Global Business Services (GBS), the internal DHL
services division, rolling out e-invoicing across its European
suppliers, connecting with them electronically to save time and
DHL joins global enterprises such as MITIE, DSM and Vestas Wind
Systems, who work with tens of thousands of suppliers and are looking
for a better way to manage core business interactions. TRADESHIFT is
different because it provides free accounts to all those suppliers,
resulting in much higher adoption levels than the alternatives -- and
therefore providing the ROI these enterprises have sought for years.
The news extends TRADESHIFT's growing momentum in the logistics
industry, with customers like Kuehne+Nagel and an interoperability
alliance with INTTRA, the industry standard system that provides the
platform for over 500,000 shipping orders a week. This is made
possible by TRADESHIFT's commitment to interoperability and open
DHL GBS project leader Steven Verhasselt explains: "TRADESHIFT
represents a different way of thinking about integrating supplier and
DP DHL processes. It understands that uptake comes from providing
benefits to both sides of the relationship -- and that making
suppliers pay achieves the opposite effect.
"Instead, its industry-leading onboarding tools appeal to the
suppliers with free TRADESHIFT accounts and TRADESHIFT Apps that
provide new functions. And we end up with a platform for doing
business with all our suppliers."
In a post on the TRADESHIFT blog, Christian Lanng, CEO and co-founder
of TRADESHIFT, explains what's driving adoption: "The TRADESHIFT
platform provides a different way for businesses to work together.
Features like TRADESHIFT e-invoicing forge the connections between
companies but once they're on the platform, anyone can build apps
that use those links for other business processes.
"Most software companies are just trying to develop a healthy market
share. For us, we're connecting businesses like this because we
believe that will create a whole new kind of market."
