Federal-Mogul Corporation : FEDERAL-MOGUL EARNS TWO 2013 AUTOMOTIVE NEWS PACE
                                    AWARDS

Company Recognized for IROX^® Engine Bearings Product Innovation and
High-Modulus Bonded Piston Manufacturing Process Innovation

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., April 16, 2013 . Federal-Mogul Corporation's (NASDAQ: FDML)
Powertrain Segment was the recipient of two 2013 Automotive News PACE(TM)
Awards at ablack-tie ceremony on April 15 in Detroit. The prestigious award
recognizes automotive suppliers for superior innovation, technological
advancement and business performance.

The company's IROX^® engine bearings were recognized in the Product category,
which highlights innovations in new products, components or systems that have
significant market impact and act as "game changers" in the automotive
industry. Federal-Mogul's Injection Molding Process for High Modulus Bonded
Pistons was a winner in the Manufacturing Process category, which recognizes
significant manufacturing or business processes that support the automotive
supply chain. The company's High Performance Aluminum Diesel Piston was a
PACE Finalist.

"The PACE process is an invaluable way to showcase the capabilities of our
world-class powertrain technologies and teams," said Gian Maria Olivetti, vice
president, technology and innovation, Federal-Mogul Powertrain. "We're
extremely honored to receive these prestigious awards, which underscores our
commitment to providing customers with innovative, world-class products and
technologies."

Overview of Technologies
IROX is an innovative polymer-coated engine bearing that strongly supports
reduction of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. It withstands high mechanical
loads in efficient, heavily boosted engines and also addresses thelubrication
challenges associated with frequent re-starts found in stop-start engines. In
extreme duty applications, the IROX coating can extend bearing life by more
than five times. Since its series production introduction in 2010,
Federal-Mogul has seen a dramatic increase in worldwide demand.

For the company's Injection Molding Process for High Modulus Bonded Pistons,
Federal-Mogul introduced a new Unipiston^® with a new high modulus material
that meets European customer requirements and is more
environmentally-friendly. The new product required significant manufacturing
process innovation, including a unique valve-gate tool design and greater
injection pressure. With optimized geometry, Federal-Mogul's Unipistons can
help enable customers to improve transmission efficiency, resulting in better
fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions.

Federal-Mogul's High Performance Aluminum Diesel Piston was named a finalist
in the Product category. The piston features casting and inspection processes
that enable increased piston performance, including a die cooling concept
which helps to increase high cycle mechanical fatigue strength by nearly 10
percent in the pin bore and bowl rim areas of the piston.
Federal-Mogul also utilized a new non-destructive testing method, which
provides increased sensitivity to inspection areas.

Federal-Mogul has previously won ten Automotive News PACE Awards. The company
received a PACE award in 2012 for its Two-Dimensional Ultrasonic Testing for
Raised Gallery Pistons; two PACE Awards in 2011 for its EcoTough^®-coated
piston and LKZ^® oil control ring and three in 2010 for its DuraBowl^® piston
reinforcement process, High Precision Electro-Erosion Machining (HPEEM)
manufacturing process and Bayonet Connection System for profile wiper blades.
The company also was honored with PACE Awards for its High-Temperature Alloy
(HTA) gaskets and Goetze^® Diamond Coating (GDC^®) for piston rings in 2007;
for its Monosteel^® diesel piston in 2006; and for its Wagner^® ThermoQuiet^®
brake pads and shoes in 2003.

The 19th annual PACE (Premier Automotive Suppliers' Contribution to
Excellence) Award was presented by Automotive News, Ernst & Young LLP and
Transportation Research Center Inc. (TRC Inc.). The competition was open to
suppliers who contribute products, processes, materials or services directly
to the manufacture of cars or trucks. The Automotive NewsPACE Award is
accepted around the world as the industry symbol of innovation.

Federal-Mogul earned the Automotive News PACE Awards following an extensive
review by an independent panel of judges including a comprehensive written
application and site visit. For complete details of the Automotive News PACE
