Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that it
has been named one of Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine’s “100 Best
Corporate Citizens,” ranking in the top 50 for the sixth consecutive year.
Eaton is ranked fourth ^ overall, up from 17th in 2012.

“We are pleased to be recognized among our peers for our commitment to
responsible corporate citizenry,” said Alexander M. Cutler, Eaton chairman and
chief executive officer. “We live our values every day and want to be seen as
a most-admired company among our customers, shareholders and employees, as
well as in the communities where we live and work.”

CR ranked companies for their performance in environment, climate change,
human rights, employee relations, corporate governance, philanthropy and
financial performance. Eaton was fourth behind AT&T, which ranked first, and
then Mattel and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

“We are pleased to honor the companies on this year’s Best List, as they
represent a tried and true standard of transparency,” said Dirk Olin,
editor-in-chief and publisher, CR Magazine. “Across environmental, economic,
and social values, these firms continue to set the bar high.”
