Alan D. Ferber Named ADT Chief Customer Officer Business Wire BOCA RATON, Fla. -- April 15, 2013 The ADT Corporation (NYSE: ADT) today announced the appointment of Alan D. Ferber as chief customer officer. Mr. Ferber will be responsible for developing strategies and executing programs designed to create and sustain a superior experience for ADT customers. He will report directly to ADT’s Chief Executive Officer, Naren Gursahaney. “Customer service is an important competitive differentiator, and I am confident Alan will help ADT extend its leadership position” said Mr. Gursahaney. “He has an impressive track record of transforming customer experience, while also driving revenue and customer account growth. We’re delighted to have Alan join ADT’s leadership team." Mr. Ferber, 45, most recently served as chief strategy and brand officer at U.S. Cellular. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president of operations where he oversaw sales, marketing, operations, supply chain, call centers, and retail operations. During his 11-year career with U.S. Cellular, Mr. Ferber also served as chief marketing officer and vice president of marketing and sales operations. He joined U.S. Cellular from Traq Wireless, a start-up management software and service provider he co-founded and built into a 100-employee, venture capital-backed company with Fortune 1000 customers and strategic partners. Prior to that, Mr. Ferber worked in general management at Ameritech Corporation. He began his career at First Chicago Corporation, now part of JPMorgan Chase & Co. Mr. Ferber received a B.A. degree from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
