ACG Orange County Annual Awards Event to Salute Top Performing Regional
TUSTIN, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/11/13 -- The Association for
Corporate Growth Orange County chapter (ACG OC) will honor 16
companies at its annual 2013 Awards Gala, which will be held at the
Balboa Bay Club on Thursday, May 9th at 5:00 p.m. The signature
event, presented by Opus Bank, will spotlight the highest performing
companies across the region, as judged by an independent review panel
of academic and business professionals.
Last fall, the organization, which represents professional service
advisors and corporate executives throughout Orange County and the
Inland Empire, sent out a call for nominations to more than 700
business leaders. ACG OC advisors then conducted a series of
candidate interviews, after which a final list of prospective
nominees were presented to outside judges for review and formal
evaluation. The finalists are:
American Advisors Group; Arbonne; ARQ Wireless; Avanir
Pharmaceuticals; Brandman University; Dr. Fresh; Habit Restaurants;
Horizon Technology; KTGY, Inc.; Mark Beamish Waterproofing; Nature's
Best; Smart Utility Systems; Sunwest Bank; The Management Trust;
Universal Services of America; and Village Nurseries, LLC.
The competition spans seven different categories, each representing a
different facet of corporate growth and development. Institutions
represented on the judges panel include: UC-Irvine, Chapman
University, OC Tech Alliance, Cal CPA, OCTANe and Clean Tech OC.
This year marks the 18th anniversary of the signature event. Winners
will be announced at a black tie optional event that ACG OC
organizers promise will be unlike any that has come before it.
"We are building on the great tradition ACG has established with its
Awards Gala -- but, giving it a different twist in terms of the guest
experience," noted Awards Gala co-chair Samantha McDermott, chief
marketing officer for Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth P.C.
Event Co-chair Yolanda De La Paz added, "We are making it more
interactive, more engaging and, ultimately, more fun! This is the one
corporate awards show you don't want to miss."
ACG OC president and co-managing partner of SingerLewak David
Krajanowski commented, "We are very excited to again host this year's
awards gala. With the economy showing more signs of stability and
improvement, this year's honorees are particularly noteworthy for
ways in which they are capitalizing on growth and development
opportunities within their respective markets."
