  $150,000 in Leaders & Achievers Scholarships Awarded Throughout the State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- April 8, 2013

Comcast today announced the 2013-14 Leaders and Achievers^® Scholarship
recipients, awarding more than $150,000 to Florida high school seniors. State
Senator Bill Montford, Representative Alan Williams, and other local
principals and headmasters joined a group of Leaders and Achievers honorees
and Comcast officials for a ceremony held during the opening day of Children’s
Week at the State Capitol.

“I am excited to see our next generation of leaders recognized for their hard
work and community service through this Comcast Leaders and Achievers
scholarship,” said Sen. Bill Mortford. “These students have distinguished
themselves at such an early age, and we thank Comcast for creating a program
that acknowledges these contributions.”

“It’s important to recognize these students for their great achievements
scholastically and their commitment to community service,” said Derek Cooper,
vice president of government affairs at Comcast. “We applaud their decision to
pursue higher education. This program demonstrates to them the importance
Comcast places on civic involvement and giving back to others in your
community.”

The Comcast Leaders and Achievers^® Scholarship Program provides $1,000
scholarships to students who strive to achieve their potential, who are
catalysts for positive change in their communities, who are involved in their
schools, and who serve as models for their fellow students. The philosophy
behind the program is to give young people every opportunity to prepare for
the future and to engage them in their communities.

Additionally, three of the 138 scholarship recipients will be selected to
receive a $5,000 scholarship for their outstanding accomplishments later this
year.

To date, Comcast has awarded more than $17 million to more than 17,000 Leaders
and Achievers Scholarship winners throughout the country.
