ATOS : Atos and M6 design the interactive television of the future

Paris - Las Vegas, 8 April 2013 - Atos, an international IT services company,
has been selected by the M6 Group as its partner for the implementation and
industrialisation of its pioneering interactive TV system.

The M6 application gives TV viewers the chance to interact in various ways
during programmes broadcast by the Group, such as Top Chef, Un dîner presque
parfait, Pekin Express, etc. This means that users can respond, give their
opinions and access additional content via a second screen that is
synchronised in real time with their television.

M6 is updating the possibilities it offers for programme interactivity via a
second screen (smartphone, tablet or PC) and proposing an innovative service
to enhance the link between TV viewers and the Group's channels.

"We selected Atos because of its in-depth knowledge of media technologies and
its recognised innovativeness in the area of 'smart mobility', combined with
its responsive Cloud services. This made it possible to implement the project
more quickly. We also needed a partner with the ability to industrialise the
technical solutions and ensure their robustness. We would like to thank the
Atos teams for their responsiveness, which has enabled us to launch this new
service within the time set, in other words at very short notice," explains
Martin Boronski, Technical Director of M6 Web.

Thanks to its knowledge of Civolution synchronisation technology, its
experience with real-time broadcasting technology (XMPP) and its expertise in
the area of mobile developments, Atos was able to support M6 and guide the
project while supplying the real-time editorial content notification service
and the IOS/Android-compatible SDK (Software Development Kit) integrated into
mobile terminals.

Atos provided the notification service in SaaS mode, making it possible to
absorb the load variations over the course of a day.

"Atos helps its media clients to reinvent themselves by organising the synergy
between content, contexts and consumers, in particular in the area of
programme interactivity. The teams from Atos worked hard to ensure that the
second-screen system could be launched within the time set and M6 benefited
from the company's skills as an integrator with multi-device expertise
covering the latest innovations, in response to the changing behaviour of TV
viewers," says Vincent Duriez, Telecoms & Media Market Director of Atos in
