GURGAON, India -- April 3, 2013

Motorola Solutions Inc. (NYSE:MSI), a world leader in the development and
deployment of Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) communication solutions,
announced that it has shipped its 2 millionth TETRA digital radio terminal.
This milestone was reached in less than four years, half the time it took to
reach the first milestone of 1 million units bought by customers.

Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), which built, owns and operates
Bengaluru International Airport, recently received the 2 millionth TETRA radio
as a part of its order of MTP3000 series radio from Motorola Solutions. This
mark of 2 million TETRA radios shipped achieved by Motorola Solutions is an
indicator of the accelerating growth of the worldwide user base depending on
reliable TETRA digital radio technology and market recognition of Motorola
Solutions’ pioneering position in the development of innovative TETRA

Key Facts:

*A growing number of airports around the world are equipped with
sophisticated digital trunking technology such as TETRA to support their
critical-communication needs. This is driven by the extreme demands that
an airport’s operations impose on the communication network. The network
must be robust and fail-safe to ensure smooth round-the-clock airport
    operations, passenger safety and security.
*Bengaluru International Airport has been a pioneering adopter of
next-generation digital mission-critical TETRA communication from Motorola
Solutions in 2008. Through the years, Motorola Solutions has been a
trusted partner in introducing TETRA solutions to leading airports around
the world, such as Spain’s Barcelona and Zaragoza airports, and Germany’s
Cologne Bonn, Munich and Leipzig/Halle airports. In Asia, Motorola
Solutions is providing TETRA to numerous airports including China’s
Shanghai and Beijing airports, Hong Kong International Airport, Thailand’s
Suvarnabhumi Airport, and New Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad International
    airports in India.
*Motorola Solutions delivered the 1 millionth terminal to the Jordan Armed
Forces in 2009. To reach the 2 million milestone so rapidly shows the
increase in the TETRA market in recent years.
*Motorola Solutions complete portfolio of TETRA solutions involves
infrastructure, terminals, applications and services that are now in use
in more than 120 countries worldwide. It is backed by a heritage of 85
years of serving mission-critical communication users.
*The strength and maturity of this market is reflected in the pace of
innovation brought to users. In the coming months, Motorola Solutions will
be introducing the MTM5000 Series TETRA mobile radios as well as the new
MTP6000 Series portables, one of the most advanced TETRA portable radio in
the world. The new additions future-proof today’s investment as they are
capable of supporting TETRA Enhanced Data Service (TEDS) compliant with
ETSI TETRA standard. TEDS is a mission-critical resilient and secure data
service which can provide up to 20 times faster access to back office
applications, such as business intelligence and databases.
*Motorola Solutions is fully committed to the future of TETRA and TEDS as
the core of mission-critical communications and is recognizing that its
TETRA solutions, when linked with a powerful combination of broadband
technologies, multimedia applications and advanced devices, will bring the
advantages of broadband to end users.
