     GovMark Announces Eighth Annual GovMarks Awards Call for Nominations

GovMark Council, a not-for-profit forum that facilitates education and
networking for senior-level marketing executives who serve the government
Information Technology (IT) market, today announced the call for nominations
for the eighth annual GovMarks Awards program. The awardsrecognize
outstanding achievements in the governmentIT marketing community in 2012.

Open to industry and government organizations, the GovMarkswill honor
successful marketing programs and individuals in the following categories:

  *GovMark All-Stars (Outstanding Public Sector IT Marketing Professionals)
  *Best Awareness/Educational Program
  *Best Event Program
  *Best Digital Program (Campaign Including Online and Social Media Elements)
  *Best Lead Generation Program

In addition, GovMark Council will recognize the overall best marketing program
of the past year. Organizations can submit their nominations via aconcise
online application.

marketplace long before the budget impasse or sequestration made front page
news, those in the government IT marketing business have been innovative in
the approaches they are deploying for reaching government customers,” said

nominated this year and look forward to honoring the marketing teams that make

Evaluated by an independent panel of judges, GovMarks nominations are graded
based on a strategic approach to government marketing, creativity and
innovation, potential for generating widespread public visibility, lead
generation, as well as overall value in supporting business and/or revenue
goals. Last year’s GovMarks Awards winners included Juniper Networks, Mobile
Work Exchange and Cisco, RightNow and Oracle, and Utah Department of
Technology Services. Honorable mentions included Cisco, Deloitte, Texas
Department of Information Resources, and EMC Public Sector Marketing.
Individual award winners included Kathy Ditto, Senior Director of Public
Sector Marketing, Cisco, and Mark Meudt, Vice President, Communications and
Marketing, General Dynamics Information Technology.

GovMark Council will accept award nominations through 5 p.m. ET on Friday, May
17, 2013. GovMark Council will announce the winners at a luncheon ceremony on
Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 2941 Restaurant in Falls Church, Va.
