Read and write performance is boosted by SSD Caching by allowing users to use up to 4 SSDs as full read/write cache to accelerate I/O processing.Resource utilization is enhanced by advanced features including data deduplication and compression. Data is protected by features such as snapshot technology, which offers space-efficient differential data copies to quickly roll back data or restore files in the event of data errors. The ZFS file system grants end-to-end data integrity. William Chen, director of product strategy for SMB Storage, noted, "The new ZFS-based EonNAS 3310 and EonNAS 3510 further enhance our rack mount NAS line-up for SMB and SME users. They satisfy the high-performance requirements and capacity expansion needs of SMBs.Many of the data service functions which were previously only available in enterprise technologies such as WORM (Write Once, Ready Many), NDMP, SSD Caching, data deduplication, compression and corrupt data self-healing are now available for SMB customers." The EonNAS 3310 and EonNAS 3510 are both available now through Infortrend's network of distributors, resellers and service providers.Standard EonNAS 3310 model is listed at $4,299 while the standard EonNAS 3510 model is listed for $5,299.
