PITTSBURGH -- April 3, 2013

As part of the inaugural NAPE East, oil and gas industry leaders and experts
will convene on Wednesday, April 10, at the David L. Lawrence Convention
Center for the expo’s Business Conference. IHS (NYSE: IHS), a leading global
provider of information and insight to the oil and gas industry, is the
sponsor of the Business Conference.

NAPE, created as the North American Prospect Expo, is the world’s largest
exploration and production (E&P) gathering of its kind and will host the
Pittsburgh event. NAPE East, set for April 10-12 at the convention center,
brings together in one location holders of oil and natural gas prospects, as
well as oil- and gas-producing properties, with organizations providing
capital, services and technologies to create a setting where participants can
establish strategic alliances for doing business and can buy, sell or trade
oil and gas assets.

The theme of this year’s Business Conference, “Transforming the Energy
Landscape,” focuses on how the growth and evolution of the United States’
unconventional boom has and will continue to have huge impacts on the economy,
job creation and the revitalization of energy-dependent industries, while also
tackling how these dynamics will coexist with community, environmental,
logistics and policy issues.

The Business Conference is held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by a
networking reception on Wednesday, April 10, the day before the expo floor
opens. It provides context for the NAPE East opportunities on showcase
Thursday and Friday in the expo.

“NAPE has served the oil and gas industry for the past 20 years. The last five
years in this industry have truly been transformative for the U.S. energy
landscape,” said Marty Schardt, executive vice president of the American
Association of Professional Landmen and NAPE general partner. “This year we
are thrilled to introduce NAPE East and our lineup of distinguished industry
leaders who will discuss the issues that come with our industry’s success and
challenges. It is the exchange of ideas at forums, such as the Business
Conference, which will allow for continued growth.”

This year’s lineup of distinguished speakers and panelists includes:

*Pete Stark, Ph.D., senior research director and advisor, IHS
*Russell Kovin, vice president of Natural Gas Liquids, Enterprise TE
*Todd Shumaker, director of Contract Services, Consol Energy
