  International investor and entrepreneur, Andy Tang funds scholarships for
                    young entrepreneurs with global vision

SAN MATEO, Calif. -- April 2, 2013

Draper University, a boarding school for aspiring entrepreneurs from around
the world, today announced a scholarship for young entrepreneurs with global
vision. Andy Tang is an experienced global entrepreneur, investor and
corporate executive. He is funding the scholarships to give students the
opportunity to build on ideas that will have global impact, with unparalleled
training in entrepreneurship by Draper University. For the upcoming summer and
fall sessions, one recipient for each session will be selected through a
competitive application process, to cultivate their entrepreneurial skills and
ideas, competencies, and capabilities to start a business.

embodies Andy,” said Tim Draper, founder and managing director at Draper
Fisher Jurvetson and founder of Draper University. “We can’t wait to see what

Andy has spent over 20 years working in the Silicon Valley technology and
finance industry, and currently serves as the managing director of ABB
Technology Ventures. Prior to joining ABB, he was a founding managing director
of DFJ Dragon, an early stage venture fund based in China. He started his
venture career as a partner at Infineon Ventures; Prior to Infineon, Andy was
with CSFB’s technology investment banking group and was a senior engineer at
Intel Corporation working on the original Pentium processors. He serves on the
boards of directors of numerous private and public companies and nonprofit
institutions.

Andy holds an MBA from the Wharton School as well as engineering degrees from
MIT and UT Austin. He also holds one US patent for display and computer memory
applications. Andy is a frequent lecturer and speaker at various universities
in the US and Asia, including Stanford, INSEAD Singapore, Tsinghua University
Beijing, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, to name a few.

Draper University is a boarding school for young entrepreneurs from all over
the world. The innovative curriculum is designed to inspire, cultivate, and
educate students who dream to build companies that change the world around
them. Draper University offers four sessions a year and is intended for
entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 to 26. The program teaches startup
fundamentals combined with personal mentoring and fun, experiential
activities, which include a steady stream of events connecting students with
