The Recorder’s Attorney of the Year 2012: Greenberg Glusker's Matt Galsor Greenberg Glusker Entertainment Group Chair Featured As Attorney of the Year in Entertainment Business Wire LOS ANGELES -- April 1, 2013 In its “Attorneys of the Year 2012” profile of Greenberg Glusker Entertainment Group chair Matt Galsor, The Recorder highlighted the high profile deal he negotiated “between Ubisoft Entertainment and New Regency Enterprises to make the wildly popular ‘Assassin's Creed’ game into a movie. The deal garnered so much attention Variety magazine named it the sixth most important of the year.” The Recorder profile details Galsor’s novel and winning approach in brokering the videogame-to-movie deal and quotes Galsor explaining the right mix of players, "It seems that you need to somehow bring in the game people and their expertise and have their input on how this works to make sure the gamers adopt the movie." In its feature, The Recorder described Galsor’s early career working for producer Roger Corman and the growth of his practice to include representation of talent like Tom Cruise and James Cameron, who coincidentally directed his first film for Roger Corman. This is one of several recent recognitions for Galsor. At the end of last year, for the second year in a row, Variety recognized Galsor in its annual "Dealmaker Impact Report," which names the most influential Hollywood dealmakers.
