China Mobile Games and Entertainment Group to Release New 'Joyful' Series Card
Games and Launch Open Beta Testing for RPG 'Long Zhan San Guo'

GUANGZHOU, China, March 26, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- China Mobile Games and
Entertainment Group Limited ("CMGE" or the "Company") (Nasdaq:CMGE), a leading
mobile game company in China, today announced that it will soon release a
series of new social card games based on the Company's 'Joyful' franchise for
both Android and iOS-based platforms and will launch open beta testing for the
Android-based version of 'Long Zhan San Guo' on March 27, 2013.

'Joyful Zha Jin Hua' was the first in a series of card games released by China
Mobile Games in January 2013 for Android-based platforms. Providing a fresh
gaming experience for fans of traditional card games, the 'Joyful' series of
card games introduces exciting new features and game play, including new
social functions that allow players to interact with each other. Since its
launch, 'Joyful Zha Jin Hua' has received positive user feedback and generated
over RMB5 million in monthly revenue. The Company plans on launching both
Android and iOS-based follow-up titles in the coming months, including 'Joyful
Dou di Zhu,' 'Joyful Mahjong,' 'Joyful Two-Person Mahjong,' and 'Joyful Niu
Niu.'

'Long Zhan San Guo' is a new turn-based MMORPG adapted from the legendary
stories of China's historical Three Kingdoms period. The game's iOS version
was launched in January 2013 and has already reached 1 million registered
users with a daily peak revenue of RMB 70,000 and monthly revenue exceeding
RMB1.5 million. An Android-based version of the game will begin open beta
testing on March 27, 2013.

Both games will be available through the Company's proprietary Android-based
Game Center application, which connects users with games developed and/or
operated by CMGE.

"I am extremely pleased to announce the launch of these exciting new games in
the coming days and months," commented Mr. Ken Jian Xiao, Chief Executive
Officer of China Mobile Games. "We have always striven to develop and
distribute the most creative and compelling new content possible. The launch
of these games forms an integral part of the Company's strategy as we seek to
introduce content to a new generation of players and capture the significant
growth opportunities emerging in smartphone games."
