Telco Systems, a BATM company (LSE: BVC, TASE: BATM) and developer of
multi-service Carrier Ethernet access, MPLS and SDN solutions for mobile
backhaul, business Ethernet services and cloud networking, announced today
that Yongin City, the fastest growing city in South Korea, has chosen Telco
Systems MPLS solutions to network all of the city’s libraries, administration
buildings and city-wide video surveillance (CCTV), serving its nearly million
residents.

Telco Systems joined forces with Diznet, its authorized reseller and the
leading solution provider in Korea, to support Yongin City’s network. Diznet
has extensive experience serving government and public carriers, offering
particular expertise in Carrier Ethernet and intelligent transportation
systems. Diznet provides a full range of services such as consultancy, network
implementation and after-sales support. The joint solution includes Telco
Systems’ end-to-end offering, including its T-Marc demarcation product line,
T-Metro aggregation product line, and EdgeGenie service management system.

Yongin, located in the southern Seoul metropolitan area, is a growing hub for
technology, tourism and transportation. The city was looking to build a new
fiber network to connect all of its libraries, government office networks, and
the city’s CCTV network to prevent crime and provide useful transportation
information to its citizens. “Yongin chose Telco Systems and Diznet to build
its resilient, flexible and scalable MPLS network. They offered us the
combination of high quality, easily managed, cost-effective solutions, and a
state of the art feature set including local support,” said Mr. MyungSik Choi,
Network Manager, Yongin City.

“Service providers and enterprises in Korea need reliable and cost-effective
Carrier Ethernet connectivity services to succeed. Telco Systems’ Carrier
Ethernet/MPLS solutions offer us the opportunity to provide Korean operators
with carrier-grade equipment, allowing them to sell multiple services over
future-proof networks,” said Mr. YongSun, Choi, CEO of Diznet. “Our solution,
based on Telco Systems’ end-to-end MPLS to the edge solution, allows Yongin
City to rapidly deliver new managed services with guaranteed service quality
agreements.”

“We are honored to be selected by Yongin, a city which is committed to
offering advanced telecommunications solutions to its citizens, businesses,
and tourists. With the assistance of our partner, Diznet, we offer our MPLS,
MEF Carrier Ethernet 2.0 (CE 2.0) compliant, end-to-end solution, which will
enable Yongin City to offer its growing population service-centric networks,
and achieve new levels of capacity, scalability and reliability. By deploying
our solution, Yongin can now offer its residents ultra-fast public data
services in their libraries and increased safety in the city, thus, increasing
the city’s and its residents’ prosperity,” said Orlando Tan, Vice President of
Sales, APAC from Telco Systems.
