Christopher Guy Will Present 2013 BritWeek Design Icon Award During BritWeek

LOS ANGELES, March 25, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Christopher Guy,
world-renowned British luxury furnishings designer, is pleased to announce
that the prestigious BritWeek Design Icon Award will be awarded to Ian Callum
during Britweek Los Angeles 2013. The award, specially created by Wedgwood,
will be presented at a private celebration sponsored by Architectural Digest
on the evening of April 26th, 2013 at the Christopher Guy West Hollywood
Showroom.

The third annual Christopher Guy BritWeek event will be a celebration of the
huge influence of the UK in luxury design. This year, Christopher Guy and
BritWeek will honor an individual with the BritWeek Design Icon Award for
their significant contributions to British design. The 2013 recipient, Ian
Callum, is the Jaguar Design Director. With Ian at its forefront, the Jaguar
brand has become a globally respected and admired entity that shows the best
of British design. In addition, Ian has helped put the UK on the map as a
global leader in the luxury automotive industry, especially significant in
Southern California.

"As a schoolboy my dream car was the V-12 E-Type Jag, which was, and still is
so incredibly beautiful. Indeed Enzo Ferrari called it the world's most
beautiful car," said Christopher Guy Harrison. "What a privilege then it is
for me to be honouring Ian Callum with the Christopher Guy/Britweek 2013
Design Icon Award, for his outstanding work as chief designer of Jaguar in the
presence of the E-Type successor, the F-Type, "he added. 

Set at the high-end Christopher Guy West Hollywood showroom, this event will
showcase British creativity and excellence in the design field. During the
evening attendees will be able to admire the fine work of Christopher Guy and
Ian Callum. From the Jaguar F-Type in the entrance of the showroom to the
iconic Christopher Guy pieces displayed throughout the showroom, the evening
will exude glamour and luxury. In line with the new collection that
Christopher Guy is releasing, a fashion show orchestrated by three-time Emmy
award winning costume designer, Birgit Muller, will contribute to an "elegance
with edge" theme for the event. The fashion presentation will feature modeling
of high end luxury brands that will allude to the glamour of iconic film
legends of Hollywood.
