Achievers in Industry Award ceremony for her extraordinary community
leadership and professional accomplishments," said Tiffeny Forrest, Executive
Director of the Harlem YMCA. "This annual gala applauds exceptional black
leaders nationwide and celebrates their role in nurturing our next generation
of leaders."

Since 1971, this annual awards ceremony has commended black achievers in
industry, both for their corporate leadership and for their service to the
community. The event continues to act as a channel for the Harlem YMCA,
corporations and local organizations to come together in providing mentoring
programs, scholarships and other opportunities for future black achievers.
These collective efforts are instrumental in inspiring and guiding future
leaders amongst the youth and teens of the Harlem community.

The proceeds of the event support the Harlem YMCA's Black Achievers in
Industry (BAI) Corporate Scholarship Program, which provides direct support to
motivated African-American New York City high school students pursuing higher
education. To date, the Corporate Scholarship Program has awarded 480
scholarships, or nearly $1.2 million in funds, to supplement educational
costs. A goal has been established to award 55 individual $2,500 scholarships
in 2013. The BAI Mentor program connects motivated New York City teens with
successful professional adults, aiming to realize the full potential of young
people through a variety of academic and social resources and experiences.
