Frank's Kraut invites public to join Omaha's Mayor Suttle for national label
photo celebrating declaration of March 14th as Reuben Sandwich Day

Omaha, NE, March 7, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Frank's Kraut is joining with the

celebrating their city as the birthplace of the Reuben. Frank's is inviting
all of Omaha to join together with Mayor Suttle for a photo that will appear
on nationally distributed labels of Frank's Kraut. Frank's has been
manufactured for 108 years in Fremont, Ohio.

The photo will be taken between 4:00-4:30 PM on March 14th, 2013 at Omaha's

from the original Blackstone Hotel.

According to legend, the sandwich was created at Omaha's Blackstone Hotel in
1925 to feed players engaged in a late-night poker game. The sandwich became
instantly famous when it was awarded the grand prize in a 1956 National
Sandwich Idea contest sponsored by the National Restaurant Association.

"Frank's Kraut and the Reuben sandwich are both bona fide American icons that
have been associated for nearly a century. We're proud to put the citizens of
Omaha on our labels to celebrate this amazing relationship," says Chris Smith,
President of the Fremont Company, makers of Frank's Kraut.

"We're honored to see our Reuben heritage recognized by the company that
produces one of its main ingredients! I'm personally inviting all Omahans to
join me in this rare photo opportunity to strut our city pride on the national
food stage," says Mayor Jim Suttle of Omaha.

"We created our Reuben in the spirit of the Blackstone and we pay homage to
the original with our slow roasted corned beef and spiced up sauerkraut.
We'll be cooking these delicacies all day and are looking forward to taking a
seat at the table of food history," says Bill Baburek, owner of the Crescent
Moon Alehouse.

Frank's Traditional Kraut has been a perennial household favorite for over 100
years; Frank's Sweet Kraut will light up the kitchen with new recipes and will
help reinvent old favorites.
