Good Times’ Sales Keep on Cookin’

Business Wire

GOLDEN, Colo. -- March 6, 2013

Good Times Restaurants Inc. (NASDAQ: GTIM) today announced its same store
sales increased 11.7% for the same 28 days of February versus the same period
last year. Factoring in the extra day in February last year, same store sales
for the month increased 7.5%. The increases were on top of last year’s 6% same
store sales increase, continuing the Company’s three year monthly comparable
sales increase trend of over 20%.

Nicholas Corbishley, Director of Marketing for Good Times said, “Despite lost
sales to a major storm in the last week of February, we were able to maintain
our sales momentum. Breakfast sales are booming and we’re teeing up our
rollout of Hand-Breaded, All Natural Springer Mountain Farms Chicken Tenders
for this month, which have almost doubled the category’s sales in test without
any promotional activity.”

The company reiterated its plan for a new creative platform for a television
ad campaign that will tell the story of the new Springer Mountain Farms All
Natural Chicken Tenderloin introduction, its Meyer Natural Angus All Natural
Angus beef and its Hatch Valley New Mexico Green Chile Breakfast Burritos.
Corbishley added, “We continue to drive innovation in each of our menu
categories supporting the brand’s umbrella strategy of fresh, all natural,
hand crafted food. The television campaign will reinforce the efforts we go to
in order to find the highest quality ingredients that we can provide at
relevant pricing to our customers.”

Meyer Natural Angus is the only major beef brand that has earned both the
Certified Humane designation for its animal husbandry practices and the
American Culinary Federation’s Seal of Approval for superior quality. The
cattle are fed a vegetarian diet of grasses and grains, and are never given
hormones or antibiotics. Meyer also verifies the origins of its cattle and
ensures they are born, raised, fed and processed solely in the United States.

Springer Mountain Farms Chicken is the first poultry company in the world to
be American Humane Certified by the American Humane Association. Their
chickens are not only 100% All Natural with no steroids or hormones, but also
are produced with no antibiotics. All of their chickens are fed solely a
pesticide free, vegetarian diet.

Good Times is a regional chain of quick service restaurants located primarily
in Colorado providing a menu of high quality all natural hamburgers, 100% all
natural tenderloin sandwiches, fresh frozen custard, fresh cut fries, fresh
lemonades and other unique offerings. Good Times currently operates and
franchises 39 restaurants.
