their exercise science list in partnership with the American College of Sports
Medicine (ACSM). Several titles provide the content students and
professionals must master to obtain multiple ACSM certifications, including
ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, ACSM Certified Health Fitness Specialist or
ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist.
ACSM's personal trainer, health fitness specialist, clinical exercise
specialist and registered clinical exercise physiologist certifications are
NCCA-accredited. This spring's lineup includes the ninth edition of ACSM's
Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription, which is widely considered
the gold standard title for this subject. ACSM has certified more than 25,000
