SMTC Corporation Reschedules Fourth Quarter Results

("SMTC"), a recognized global electronics manufacturing services provider, has
rescheduled its fourth quarter results conference. Due to the increase in
year-end information requirements, SMTC will be delaying its earnings release
by one week.

The teleconference will now be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.
