ZURICH NAMES FRANK BARON HEAD OF CASUALTY & PROPERTY BUSINESS

Zurich names Frank Baron Head of Casualty & Property business for its Specialty 
Products unit                                                                    
Schaumburg, Ill., February 28, 2013 – Zurich North America Commercial’s 
Specialty Products unit announced today that Frank Baron  has been appointed to 
head its Casualty and Property business. He will report to Bryan Salvatore, 
President of Specialty Products and will remain based in New York.  
“Frank started his career as an underwriter, and over his 25-year insurance 
career, he has assumed increasing levels of responsibility within underwriting, 
claims, project management and human resources leadership roles encompassing a 
diverse range of lines of business,” said Salvatore. “We look forward to Frank 
bringing his considerable skills to his new role.”  
Baron has been with Zurich since September 2009, overseeing the Diversified 
Financial Group (DFG) within the Management Solutions Group. During his tenure 
in that role, he reshaped DFG’s book, returning the business to a leading 
position in this marketplace. Prior to joining Zurich, Baron worked with AIG 
and Reliance National Insurance Company.  
Baron holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from New York 
Institute of Technology, an MBA from University of Phoenix and a master’s 
degree in human resources management from Boston University. He is also a 
member of the New York Institute of Technology School of Management Executive 
Council.  
He succeeds Roger Brunner, who recently took on the role of Head of Programs in 
Zurich Programs & Direct Markets business.
