                   Further re Acquisition of Gleeson Group

Dublin, London | 27 February, 2013: C&C Group plc (‘C&C’ or the 'Group’), a
leading manufacturer, marketer and distributor of branded cider and beer,
announces that it has received clearance from the Irish Competition Authority
to proceed with the acquisition of M & J Gleeson (Investments) Limited and its
subsidiaries (the “Gleeson Group”). Accordingly the Group is now able to
proceed to completion of the acquisition.
