"Tata Communications asserts that it has not violated any of the terms of the ILD license in India and has taken all steps to ensure that its actions are in conformity with the license provisions. In September 2012, the Hon'ble TDSAT had ruled in Tata Communications' favour in its appeal against a penalty imposed by the Department of Telecommunications in this matter. It was an admitted fact in the TDSAT case that as per the ILD license terms, Tata Communications was entitled to enter into agreements with a foreign operator for providing International Private Lease Circuit (IPLC) services."
