reached a $2 million settlement over injuries sustained in a devastating car
crash that happened last year.
On Feb. 29, 2012, Virginia Moore was driving on 42^nd Street in Odessa, Texas,
with Loraine Shamblin as a passenger. Ms. Moore was stopped at a red light
when her vehicle was struck by a Ford F-150 driven by William Ward Schlittler,
an employee of Odessa-based oilfield services company Enerserv Inc. As a
result of the crash, Ms. Moore and Ms. Shamblin each suffered serious and

Texas, the two women claimed that Mr. Schlittler was negligent and failed to
use ordinary care in the operation of his truck. The lawsuit also alleged that
Enerserv was negligent in hiring Mr. Schlittler, in addition to claims that
