Concord Law School Celebrates 19th Graduation

Chairman and CEO of Kaplan, Inc. to Address More Than 80 Graduates

Business Wire

LOS ANGELES -- February 22, 2013

Concord Law School of Kaplan University, the nation’s leading fully-online law
school, will celebrate its nineteenth graduation on Saturday, March 2, at the
Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. The graduating class includes 59
graduates of the Juris Doctor program and 34 who earned an Executive Juris
Doctor degree. Many of the graduates hold other post-graduate degrees,
including numerous MBAs and Masters degrees, and three PhDs. In addition, this
graduating class includes 4 who are the first graduates from Concord's Small
Business Practice LLM program. Launched in Sept 2010, the LLM program is
designed for lawyers and recent law school graduates, providing practical
courses focused on the needs of small business clients. Dean Greg Brandes will
confer the degrees.

Andrew Rosen, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kaplan, Inc., will
address the graduates. Mr. Rosen leads one of the largest, most diverse
education organizations in the world. Throughout his two- decade career at
Kaplan, Rosen has helped pioneer much of the company’s innovation with a focus
on student success and outcomes. These include the founding of Concord Law
School, the first fully online law school in the U.S.; the development and
growth of Kaplan University; and the creation of new blended online and
classroom-based learning opportunities for both working adults and test
preparation students.

In addition, Mr. Rosen is the author of Change.edu:Rebooting For the New
Talent Economy (Kaplan Publishing, 2011), which details the history of
innovation in American Higher education and outlines “seven certainties” of
education in the coming 25 years, and how our system must prepare for the
coming changes. Prior to joining Kaplan, Rosen served as Assistant Counsel at
Newsweek and staff attorney for The Washington Post newspaper.
