Kratos Receives $4.3 Million Single Award Contract to Support the Program
Manager United States Marine Corps Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised
Explosive Device Electronic Warfare Biometrics Programs

Contract Includes $1.3 Million Base Award and Options Through 2015 Valued Up
to an Additional $3 Million

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 21, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kratos Defense & Security
Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider,
announced today that its Defense Rocket Support Service division's Technical
Services business unit won the contract to provide acquisition, financial,
logistics, training, technical, program management and administrative support
to the Program Manager United States Marine Corps Counter Radio-Controlled
Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) Electronic Warfare (PM USMC CREW)
Biometrics Programs.

PM USMC CREW Biometrics Programs include the Biometrics Automated Toolset
(BAT), the Identity Dominance System Marine Corps (IDS-MC), the Biometrics
Enrollment Screening Device (BESD), the Handheld Interagency Identity
Detection Equipment (HIIDE) and the BAT server. Kratos will also support
Biometrics training, which is conducted by the Tactical Training Exercise
Control Group (TTECG) and the Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group
(MCTOG) at the Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command (MAGTFTC) in MCB
29 Palms, California.

TTECG primarily supports the Enhanced Mojave Viper exercises (EMV) during
which Marine Battalions are evaluated and trained in biometric Tactics,
Techniques, and Procedures (TTP). EMV serves as the final training and
evaluation site for USMC forces preparing for deployment in support of
Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).MCTOG supports the Spartan Resolve and
Spartan Advance exercises and the Attack the Network biometrics training
requirements.The Biometrics contract will be managed by Mr. Raul Torres at
Kratos' Quantico Operations Office, which is located in Stafford, VA.
