Acclaimed industry leader leads new practice to promote wellness in the age of

As healthcare reform continues to take center stage for many U.S. employers,
Wells Fargo Insurance, part of Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC), announced
today a new Health & Productivity National Practice. Part of the company’s
National Employee Benefits Practice, the Health & Productivity group will
provide customers access to health and wellness solutions that are aligned
with healthcare reform and changing workforce demographics. The company also
announced that 28-year industry veteran Ronald Leopold, M.D., MBA., M.P.H. has
been named head of this new practice. Based in Atlanta, Dr. Leopold reports to
Todd Renner, head of Wells Fargo’s Employee Benefits National Practice.

practice will provide our employee benefits customers with access to health
plans that promote better lifestyle choices, increase productivity and

Most recently, Dr. Leopold served as vice president and national medical
director at MetLife. Board certified by the American College of Preventive
Medicine in Occupational Medicine, he has ten years of experience in active
clinical practice. Dr. Leopold is also the author of The Benefits Edge: Honing
the Competitive Value of Employee Benefits and A Year in the Life of a Million
American Workers. He received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business, a
Masters in Public Health from Boston University, and his medical degree at
Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University.
