Lightbridge Promotes Jonathan Baggett to Vice President - Program Management

MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 18, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lightbridge Corporation
(Nasdaq:LTBR), a leading innovator of next generation nuclear fuel designs and
provider of nuclear energy consulting services to commercial and governmental
organizations, today announced that Jonathan Baggett, manager of Lightbridge's
advisory services contracts with foreign governments planning to create
nuclear power programs, has been named Vice President – Program Management.

"Jonathan's role in strategic planning and management of Lightbridge-designed
civil nuclear programs has helped establish Lightbridge as an independent and
innovative provider of comprehensive advisory services for emerging nuclear

Baggett, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), joined Lightbridge
in 2007 from Medical Solutions, Inc., Chantilly, Va. where he designed
patented medical devices.Before that, he was a manufacturing engineer with an
aerospace thermal insulation manufacturer in Atlanta.An accomplished
collegiate cyclist at the Division I level, Baggett earned a master's degree
in systems engineering at the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science
degree in aerospace engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
