Great Atlantic Will Use DIAGNOS' CARDS for Their Tungsten Project in
Newfoundland, Canada
BROSSARD, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 02/14/13 -- DIAGNOS inc.
("DIAGNOS" or "the Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:ADK), a leader in the
use of artificial intelligence and advanced knowledge-extraction
techniques, announced today the signature on their first Tungsten
project with Great Atlantic Resources Corp. Great Atlantic Corp will
use CARDS (Computer Aided Resource Detection System) technology, to
generate potential Tungsten exploration targets on South Quarry
property in Newfoundland.
"For the first time, the DIAGNOS technology (CARDS) will be used for
a Tungsten project. Tungsten responds very well with geophysical
data, thus improving the chances of localising new deposits. We are
confident that our technology can provide good targets based on the
total data available for this project. Our goal is to reduce the
exploration time in the discovery of new targets on the property."
declared Mr Michel Fontaine, Vice-President - Business Development at
The South Quarry Tungsten showing is located in a rock quarry on the
east side of the Baie d'Espoir Highway, approximately 7 km south of
Berry Hill Pond, Central Newfoundland. This showing consists of a
swarm of scheelite-bearin
g veins which occur over an area of at least
200 m by 300 m. Where veins have been exposed by stripping, a 200 m
long cross section of the vein swarm revealed veins up to 1.5 m wide
and grading 0.3 to 0.4 % WO3. Associated with this occurrence is the
stratiform Camp Ten Tungsten showing where bedded scheelite occurs
within limestone and calcareous sandstone horizons that dip toward
the possible source of the mineralization - the Middle Ridge Granite.
DIAGNOS will assist Great Atlantic Resources Corp. in identifying
Tungsten targets by using its CARDS technology, which makes possible
the identification of sites having the same signature as known
mineralized occurrences. DIAGNOS uses its proprietary technology to
analyze geological, geophysical and geochemical data to enable the
identification of patterns hidden in the large amount of data each
customer owns.
DIAGNOS has assembled a high level team of scientists with masters
and PhDs in artificial intelligence, mathematics, imaging, geology
and geophysics and a management team to support its customer in
mining exploration.
Founded in 1998, DIAGNOS is a publicly traded Canadian corporation
(TSX VENTURE:ADK), with a mission to commercialize technologies
combining contextual imaging and traditional data mining thereby
improving decision making processes. DIAGNOS offers products,
services, and solutions to clients in a variety of fields including
healthcare, natural resources.
The Corporation's objective is to develop a royalty stream by
significantly enhancing and participating in the exploration success
rate of mining. For further information, please visit our Website at The TSX Venture Exchange has not reviewed and does
