ARMOUR Residential REIT, Inc. Announces Pricing of Public Offering of
65,000,000 Shares of Common Stock

VERO BEACH, Fla., Feb. 14, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ARMOUR Residential REIT,
Inc. (NYSE: ARR, ARR PrA and ARR PrB; NYSE MKT: ARR.WS) ("ARMOUR" or the
"Company") announced today that it has priced an underwritten public offering
of 65,000,000 shares of common stock. ARMOUR has granted the underwriters a
30-day option to purchase up to 9,750,000 additional shares of common
stock.The underwriters are offering the shares at prevailing market prices or
otherwise from time to time through the NYSE, the over-the-counter market,
negotiated transactions or otherwise.The offering is expected to close on
February 20, 2013.

Deutsche Bank SecuritiesInc., BofA Merrill Lynch, Barclays Capital Inc.,
Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC and J.P.
Morgan Securities LLC arejoint book-running managers of the offering.

The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the offering to acquire
