NEWTON, Mass. -- February 8, 2013

CommonWealth REIT (NYSE: CWH) today announced that it has scheduled its 2013
Annual Meeting of Shareholders for May 14, 2013. The record date for
determination of shareholders entitled to vote at the meeting is February 19,
2013.
