US AIRWAYS FLIGHT ATTENDANTS BEGIN VOTE ON CONTRACT

*US AIRWAYS FLIGHT ATTENDANTS BEGIN VOTE ON CONTRACT AND PATH FORWARD IN
MERGER * 
*Polls Open for 7,500 Flight Attendants – Vote Count Thursday, February 28* 
*Washington, DC* – Starting today, US Airways Flight Attendants,
represented by Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), will begin
voting on a tentative agreement including economic improvements,
industry-leading job protections and an opportunity for negotiating
additional improvements following announcement of the pending merger with
American Airlines. Ballots will be counted on Thursday, February 28. 
“This agreement provides immediate improvements for all US Airways Flight
Attendants while securing a strong position for the future. Ratification
paves the way for US Airways Flight Attendants to be meaningful partners in
this merger," said AFA US Airways Presidents Roger Holmin and Deborah Volpe. 
Voting instructions were mailed on February 5th to Flight Attendant homes.
Electronic voting will continue through February 28, 2013 at Noon Eastern
Time.
