Smiths Detection Wins £18m UK Military Order for Bio-Consumables
WATFORD, England -- February 6, 2013
Smiths Detection today announces an £18.5m bio-consumables contract with the
UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) to support its fleet of Integrated Biological
Detection Systems (IBDS).
The two-year contract involves the procurement, storage and management of
components essential to the biological testing process in the advanced
technology system. Smiths Detection is the world’s leading provider of
government regulated security systems detecting CBRNE (chemical, biological,
radiological, nuclear and explosive) threats.
