Samantha Stovall, a Program Manager at UTC Aerospace Systems, has been named the 2012 Mentor of the Year. She was nominated by three mentees, including a winning nomination from mentee, Danielle Wilke. Stovall has been with Hamilton Sundstrand UTC in Rockford, Ill., since 1992. She received the highest possible ratings on all judging criteria, which included mentorship activities, support, introduction to network, and end results. Stovall joined the UTC Aerospace Systems mentoring program because she had several formal and informal mentors in her own past, and she wanted to give back. Wilke was her first official mentee, and now Stovall has several mentees. The three honorable mentions, which were selected from more than 150 nominations, include Blair Selber of HSBC, Judy Novak of The Women's Alliance (TWA) at Xerox, and Craig Picinich of Covance.
