Mentor Scout Announces Samantha Stovall of UTC Aerospace Systems as the 2012
Mentor of the Year.

PR Newswire

ROCKFORD, Ill., Feb. 6, 2013

ROCKFORD, Ill., Feb. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mentor Scout division announced
today that four accomplished professionals have been chosen as the winner and
honorable mentions of the 2012 Mentor of the Year Award.

Samantha Stovall, a Program Manager at UTC Aerospace Systems, has been named
the 2012 Mentor of the Year. She was nominated by three mentees, including a
winning nomination from mentee, Danielle Wilke. Stovall has been with Hamilton
Sundstrand UTC in Rockford, Ill., since 1992. She received the highest
possible ratings on all judging criteria, which included mentorship
activities, support, introduction to network, and end results. Stovall joined
the UTC Aerospace Systems mentoring program because she had several formal and
informal mentors in her own past, and she wanted to give back. Wilke was her
first official mentee, and now Stovall has several mentees.

The three honorable mentions, which were selected from more than 150
nominations, include Blair Selber of HSBC, Judy Novak of The Women's Alliance
(TWA) at Xerox, and Craig Picinich of Covance. Recipients received plaques and
company accolades for their outstanding contributions to their organizations'
mentoring programs powered by Mentor Scout technology.

"Mentor Scout believes that mentoring is an integral part of an overall
retention strategy and a valuable way to support career development programs,"
said Bruce H. Daly, president of the Mentor Scout division. "Samantha and
Danielle's relationship is a prime example of the power of a mentor-mentee
relationship and how it can contribute to improved job satisfaction and
employee retention. Mentoring programs give organizations an effective way to
provide career growth paths to their employees."

The Mentor Scout technology platform has facilitated thousands of mentorships
across the globe, including all of the award-winning mentorships. It is
designed to support general mentoring programs as well as programs for
specialty affinity groups, high potential employees, new hires and/or new
