Marcus Theatres^®, a division of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE:MCS), today
announced plans for a major renovation of the Point Cinema in Madison, Wis.
The extensive remodeling is currently underway and includes exciting changes
to the theatre’s interior and exterior, plus the addition of a Take Five
Lounge, all in time for the busy summer blockbuster season.

“The enhancements will be evident the minute guests drive up to the property.
The addition of the signature Marcus tower marquee and updated exterior will
welcome moviegoers to an attractive entertainment destination. Once inside,
guests will be greeted by a welcoming new look that extends from the lobby
throughout the entire theatre,” said Bruce J. Olson, president of Marcus

Lobby renovations include a comfortable seating area where guests can mingle
before or after the show. The box office will be relocated and bright LCD
signs will be added for easy viewing and selection of showtimes. Automated
box-office kiosks will be installed to make purchasing and picking-up tickets
more convenient and efficient.

In addition to the lobby renovations, all theatre auditoriums, except the
recently renovated large-screen format UltraScreen® auditorium, will be
remodeled with the finest state-of-the-art comfortable memory-foam velour
cushioned reclining seats. Hallways will be refurbished with updated wall
coverings and LCD signage above each auditorium entrance.

A redesigned and relocated concession stand will offer self-service soft
drinks and enhanced food selections, including Zaffiro’s original THINCREDIBLE
handmade-to-order pizza, a Milwaukee staple since 1954. “We are excited to
introduce Zaffiro’s pizza to the Madison area at the Point Cinema,” said Jeff
Tomachek, executive vice president of Marcus Theatres. “Zaffiro’s famous
thin-crust pizza originated from the Zaffiro family recipe developed almost 60
years ago, and has won the hearts of pizza lovers all across the U.S. Having
opened our third Zaffiro’s Pizzeria & Bar restaurant in New Berlin, Wis., this
past summer, we know moviegoers and local residents alike hunger for the
super-thin crust pizzas made with the freshest ingredients. We look forward to
bringing the THINCREDIBLE pizza experience to the Madison area.”

“Another highlight of the expanded food and beverage options is the addition
of Marcus Theatres’ popular cocktail lounge concept, Take Five Lounge,” said
Tomachek. “With seating for approximately 100 guests, Take Five Lounge will
feature a 20-foot-wide screen for sporting events and other popular viewing
entertainment. The lounge will feature a full-service bar serving a wide
selection of signature beers, wine and cocktails and guests will be able to
enjoy a selection of chef-inspired menu items, ranging from appetizers, fresh
salads and sandwiches to Zaffiro’s pizza and delicious desserts. The new food
menu will also be available to guests at the expanded concession stand.”

“The renovations will make going to the movies even more fun, convenient and
comfortable for both Madison foodies and cinephiles. Our guests will be able
to watch the latest pictures in digital MDX™ (Marcus Digital Xperience™)
technology, in a brand new, relaxing environment with an array of food and
beverage choices,” added Olson.
