Transfer of Treasury Shares

Spectris plc announces that on 1 February 2013, the following ordinary shares were transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employee share option allotments under the Spectris Performance Share Plan:

6,650 shares at 5 pence per share

Following the above transfer, the total number of Spectris plc ordinary shares in issue (excluding the total of 7,584,608 ordinary shares now held in treasury) is 117,420,515.
