Leading Global Tequila Brand Showcases Original Murals from Ten Finalists to
Award $15,000 Grants for Winning Artist and Local Arts Organization

No. 1 super-premium tequila with the same recipe used in Cuervo's original
tequila in 1795 – has officially opened the voting phase to select the most
inspiring mural in the Tradicional Mural Project. The nationwide program,
inspired by the influence of Latino heritage, showcases 10 original murals
created by legal drinking age artists from across the United States, and
invites consumers to vote through February 28th, 2013 at
www.facebook.com/losamigosdejose.

The artist and mural with the most votes will receive a $15,000 grant as well
as a $15,000 donation to a local organization in the region they represent, on
behalf of Jose Cuervo Tradicional. All consumers 21 years of age and older
will be eligible to vote at the Jose Cuervo Tradicional Mural Project's
Facebook page at www.facebook.com/losamigosdejose from January 15 through
February 28. Only votes received at the Jose Cuervo Tradicional Mural
Project's Facebook page during this time period will determine which of the 10
finalists will win. The grand prize winner will be announced in March 2013.

The 10 artists, selected on the basis of submitted art portfolios and a
personal essay, were given thirty days to complete their murals, which were
unveiled at an exclusive event in Chicago in November 2012. Each mural
explored Latino themes around music, education and family that help paint the
nation's cultural melting pot through a range of traditional and contemporary
painting styles. All 10 murals will be showcased in a prominent artistic venue
later in the year.

The National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC) has been serving
as a consultant for the Jose Cuervo Tradicional Mural Project to increase
visibility for the contest within the arts community. As part of this arts
consultancy, NALAC will continue to work with Jose Cuervo Tradicional across
each phase of the program to engage artists, Latino communities and nonprofit
organizations.
