NEW YORK -- January 8, 2013

Sidley Austin LLP announced today that Joshua B. Rovine, former General
Counsel of Advisory Services at The Blackstone Group and Chief Compliance
Officer of Blackstone Capital Partners, has rejoined the firm’s Pooled
Investment Entities (PIE) Group as a partner in New York. He will also be a
member of the firm-wide Investment Funds, Advisers and Derivatives (IFAD)
Practice, concentrating primarily on hedge fund and fund of funds formation
(including buy-side representations), as well as investment adviser regulation
and compliance. Mr. Rovine was previously a partner at Sidley from 1998 –
2002.

While at Blackstone, Mr. Rovine was responsible for a broad span of legal and
compliance matters including advising internal clients on regulatory issues,
implementing compliance programs for registered investment advisers and
broker-dealers and working on the implementation of new business initiatives.
Mr. Rovine was a Managing Director in the Legal & Compliance Department at The
Blackstone Group since 2003.

At Sidley, Mr. Rovine’s practice will include advising clients on compliance
issues and the representation of managers in spin-outs from financial
institutions; buyers, sellers and other participants in secondary/structured
secondary transactions; and institutional clients investing in, or
co-investing alongside, hedge and private equity funds.
