Research Program (NSRP) to Develop "New Best" LED Lighting Solution

today announced that it was selected by the Executive Control Board of the
National Shipbuilding Research Program (NSRP) to receive funding for the
development of a "New Best" LED lighting solution for the Navy's 2-bulb

The National Shipbuilding Research Program (NSRP) is a collaboration of U.S.
Shipyards that focuses on common issues with a goal of reducing the cost of
acquiring, operating and maintaining Navy ships. This round of awards included
9 research projects valued at approximately $12 million in both Navy funding
and industry cost share.

specifically designed around our already military approved IntelliTube ™ LED
replacement lamp. This will allow us to further penetrate the market into the

The objective of the NSRP award is to "Develop, build and test an all-platform
light-emitting diode (APALED) lighting system, with the goal of creating a
"New Best" solution for replacement of the Navy's 2-bulb fluorescent fixture."
