Final Determinations in the Antidumping Duty (AD) and Countervailing Duty (CVD)
Investigations of Imports of
Large Residential Washers from Mexico (AD) and the Republic of Korea (Korea)
Today, the Department of Commerce (Commerce) announced its affirmative final
determinations in the AD and CVD investigations of imports of large residential
washers from Mexico (AD) and Korea (AD/CVD). Large residential washers are
automatic clothes washing machines with a cabinet width (measured from its
widest point) of at least 24.5 inches (62.23 cm) and no more than 32.0 inches
(81.28 cm).
Commerce determined that producers/exporters from Korea and Mexico have sold
large residential washers in the United States at dumping margins of 9.29
percent to 82.41 percent, and 36.52 percent to 72.41 percent, respectively.
Commerce also determined that producers/exporters from Korea have received
countervailable subsidies of 0.01 percent (de minimis) to 72.30 percent.
The attached fact sheet outlines our decisions.
